GMR Smart Electricity Distribution Pvt. Ltd. (GSEDPL) is a subsidiary of GMR Power and Urban Infra Limited (GPUIL) and serves as the platform entity for GMR’s smart metering business.

The company is implementing one of India’s largest smart metering programmes, with deployment of over 75 lakh prepaid smart meters across 22 districts in Uttar Pradesh under a 10-year Design, Build, Finance, Own, Operate and Transfer (DBFOOT) framework.

The programme supports digital transformation of electricity distribution by enabling improved billing efficiency, remote monitoring, and reduction of commercial losses for distribution utilities.
